Description

We are facing an unprecedented time with the COVID-19 pandemic. Music therapists are at risk for acquiring the virus, and risking their health and the lives of their loved ones if precautions are not taken. They also risk infecting clients they serve unknowingly due to the asymptomatic incubation period. This course provides information about the pandemic and precautions to take in an effort to prevent infection and further spread of the virus. Ethical dilemmas arise when music therapists are restricted from providing much-needed services to clients. We will explore these ethical dilemmas and suggest ways to advocate through them to maximize patient care safely.  Participants will earn 1 Ethics CMTE.
